Antique Oil Painting "The Angler" by W Baucutt

For sale is this fine early 20th-century oil landscape depicting a peaceful river scene. The composition features a solitary figure sitting along the grassy riverbank fishing into calm waters, which beautifully reflect the light and dense, leafy woodland lining the far bank. Painted in a soft impressionistic style with lovely impasto highlights on the foliage and water, it is signed in the bottom right corner by the artist, W. Baucutt.

The painting is housed in a magnificent, heavy antique frame featuring wide, highly figured wood grain with a soft gilt inner slip that gives it exceptional wall presence. It remains in good, honest antique condition with gentle, period-appropriate patina to the frame, ready to hang as a impressive centerpiece.

Dimensions are Width 66 Height 52 all centimeters.

All of my items are genuine vintage or antique. Items of this age come with obvious age related knocks, bumps and scratches etc. In my opinion this only adds to their originality and style. If you are looking for pristine furniture or decor I doubt my items will be for you.
