"Supersonic Horizon" Mid-Century Military Jet Oil Painting

For sale is this vintage oil painting depicting the historic British supersonic research aircraft, the Fairey Delta 2, the painting features the aircraft (serial number WG774) climbing sharply through a light blue sky above a layer of clouds.

​This piece carries genuine aviation history, complete with an engraved plaque centered on the bottom of the frame, the plaque reads: "Presented to the RAF Officers Mess Thurleigh by Mr M. Read, February 1972."

​The painting and its original frame show some natural age and patina, giving it a great authentic look. It is an excellent collectors' item for any aviation or military history enthusiast or would look fantastic in a office, tap room, bar or retail setting.

Dimensions are Width 67 Height 55 all centimeters.
