Antique French Cast Iron Table by

For sale is this beautifully preserved French bistro table, featuring an authentic, original cast-iron base by the renowned French foundry, Bouvet-Frères, paired with a sturdy fossilized stone top. The top has fantastic patina with a few chips and scratches and it has been left outside so now has an almost leathered finish. All in all it's a fantastic piece, offering durable vintage character that works perfectly for a kitchen nook, balcony, or patio. Or could be used an alternative to a kitchen island, dressing table or desk. 

​The Bouvet-Frères foundry was a staple of French café culture during the Belle Époque. They were known for supplying bistros and brasseries with furniture built to withstand heavy daily use. Their industrial-strength casting techniques are exactly why these bases remain highly sought after by designers and collectors today.

All of my items are genuine vintage or antique. Items of this age come with obvious age related knocks, bumps and scratches etc. In my opinion this only adds to their originality and style. If you are looking for pristine furniture or decor I doubt my items will be for you.
