Vintage French Farmhouse Table [ref:7385]

For sale is this very beautiful, large, Vintage French Dining Table. It's a lovely piece in nice aged condition and particularly good quality. Originally it had a dark finish on it which was beyond restoration so I fully stripped the top revealing a very beautiful, surprisingly light, solid wood top. I then finished in in Osmo's Raw Hard Wax Oil which fully protects it but gives the appearance of bare wood. Although being stripped and refinished it still has bangs, scratches, blemishes and so on. The base has been hand painted in Little Greene‘s Elysian Ground a moody brown with a strong grey undertones - which has then been distressed. It's particularly well made, very heavy and has subtle signs of quality including how the underneath cross brace comes wider than the base and ties into the top with an exposed joint (a bit nerdy to mention but a lovely detail). It's a comfortable 8 seater dining table.

All of my items are genuine vintage or antique. Items of this age come with obvious age related knocks, bumps and scratches etc. In my opinion this only adds to their originality and style. If you are looking for pristine furniture or decor I doubt my items will be for you.
